Green Wall Systems
Living or artificial is the first real decision on a green wall, not the finish or the plant species, and it's worth settling honestly before anything else gets chosen.
Green Wall Systems in the UAE: Living or Artificial
A living green wall needs a built-in irrigation system, drainage, and ongoing plant care; it's a genuine feature, but it's also an ongoing commitment, not a one-time installation you never think about again. An artificial green wall needs none of that, no irrigation, no die-off risk, but it's not a living plant wall and won't offer the same air quality or growth character.
Neither is the "correct" choice; it depends on how much ongoing maintenance you actually want to take on. We'll ask that directly during consultation rather than default to whichever is easier for us to install.
Deciding Living or Artificial Before Anything Gets Ordered

We talk through living versus artificial, and how much ongoing maintenance fits your expectations.
For living walls, we check light exposure and confirm irrigation feasibility. For artificial, we assess mounting and fixing requirements.
We help you choose a system suited to the space, indoor or outdoor, and your maintenance preference.
Installed by our own crew, with irrigation properly connected for living systems, or securely mounted for artificial ones.
Where Green Walls Work, Indoors and Outdoors
Living green walls need consistent light, either natural or supplemented, and a working irrigation connection, which makes them more practical for spaces where that infrastructure is feasible: courtyards, building entrances, and some indoor atriums. In low-light indoor corners or spaces without irrigation access, a living wall usually struggles regardless of how well it's installed.
Artificial green walls work in more places precisely because they don't depend on light or water: low-light offices, retail interiors, spaces where a living wall genuinely wouldn't survive. If you want the visual without the maintenance commitment, and especially if the space has poor natural light, artificial is usually the more honest recommendation, not a downgrade.

Both options exist. Living green walls use real plants with integrated irrigation, artificial green walls use synthetic foliage with no irrigation needed. The right choice depends on the space's light and how much ongoing maintenance you want.
Ongoing care is required, irrigation system checks, occasional pruning, and monitoring plant health. It's a genuine commitment, not a one-time installation.
Outdoors, this depends heavily on species selection and shade exposure. We'll assess your specific site conditions and recommend species and positioning suited to it, or an artificial system if the conditions aren't favorable for living plants.
Green wall systems are typically larger, vertical installations, living or artificial, that form part of a wall's surface. See our Decorative Greenery page for smaller-scale artificial plant arrangements and styling pieces.
