Laminate Flooring
Laminate flooring is supplied and installed across the UAE. It's built on a wood-fiber core, not the plastic-based core used in SPC, LVT, and vinyl. That's the difference that matters most when deciding where to put it.
SPC Flooring Installation, Supplied and Installed by One Team
Laminate flooring is built around a high-density wood-fiber board, topped with a printed design layer and a protective overlay. That's structurally different from SPC, LVT, and vinyl, which all use plastic-based cores. The practical result: laminate is not waterproof, and standing water or repeated moisture exposure can cause the core to swell, something that isn't a risk with the other flooring types we install.
That doesn't rule laminate out, it rules out certain rooms. Bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways away from major moisture sources are usually fine. Kitchens near sinks, bathrooms, and ground-floor rooms with slab moisture issues are where we'd steer you toward SPC or LVT instead.
What Happens Before We Install Laminate Flooring
Considering laminate flooring for your space? Contact us for expert advice and a free consultation.
We talk through the room and flag early if moisture exposure makes laminate a poor fit.
We check for moisture sources near the room, proximity to bathrooms, ground-floor slab conditions, before confirming laminate is suitable.
We help you choose a finish and durability rating suited to the room's traffic.
Installed with a proper underlayment and moisture barrier by our own crew, to schedule, no subcontractor.
Where Laminate Fits, and Where It Doesn't
Laminate flooring works well in bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways, areas with normal foot traffic and no regular water exposure. It's a common choice where the look of wood matters and the room doesn't carry the moisture risk that rules laminate out elsewhere in a home.
It's not the right choice for kitchens, bathrooms, or ground-floor rooms with known slab moisture, this is one of the few honest differences between laminate and the other flooring types on this site, and it's worth knowing before you commit to it for the wrong room.

No. Laminate has a wood-fiber core, unlike SPC, LVT, or vinyl. It's not suited to kitchens, bathrooms, or rooms with regular moisture exposure.
Bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways with normal foot traffic and no regular water exposure.
SPC has a plastic-based rigid core and is waterproof. Laminate has a wood-fiber core and is not, but can offer a similar wood-look finish at a lower cost in the right room.
It can work in low-moisture commercial areas like offices, but SPC or LVT is generally better suited to higher-traffic or moisture-exposed commercial spaces.
